It's a typical Loves fuel stop. Gas pumps get very busy and waiting lines to get to the pumps is not unusual. Prices are low for Van Horn.
Rude inattentive cashiers. I was waiting for quite a while. My cashier was struggling with the register. I was still standing at the counter when the other cashier who had been on the phone and off again ignored me and called the man behind me who jumped on the chance to be helped before me. Selfish jerks!
Polite and friendly staff. Ate lunch at Subway inside station. Great sandwiches.
Definitely NOT RV (regular gas, not diesel) friendly! End pumps difficult to get to, no way to exit around back of building after using right side pump. If you’re a longer RV, especially if towing a car, I recommend using the Valero across the street.
VERY SKETCHY GAS STATION!!!!! WILL BE CALLING LOVES AND REPORTING THIS ONE! I'M ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING AND 1) ASIAN DUDE IN ALL BLACK WALKS UP TO MY PASSENGER DOOR AND SEES ME AND TURNS AROUND AND GOES THE OTHER WAY. 2) I TAKE A NAP AND NOT LONG AFTER FALLING ASLEEP BUT STILL SUBCONSCIOUS I FEEL MY ENTIRE CAR SHAKE, SOMEONE SHOOK MY CAR!!!!! I ASKED THE DUDE WAS HE THE ONE THAT SHOOK MY CAR AND HE REPLIED "I WAS PUTTING ON MY SHOES" 3) I GO TO FILL UP BEFORE HITTING THE ROAD AGAIN AND A MUSLIM IN A NEWER RED CHEVY TRUCK WHIPPED UP TO THE PUMP I WAS ABOUT TO GO TO, SO I SAT THERE A SEC AND HE NEVER GOT OUT SO I WAS LIKE HMMM, I WENT AHEAD AND STARTED TO FIND ANOTHER PUMP WHEN THIS GUY PULLS OFF BUT WAS GOING TO TRY TO TURN AROUND AND BACK IN. I WAS IN THE PERFECT SPOT THAT I COULD JUST GO AHEAD AND BACK IN WHILE HE LOOKED LIKE HE WAS DRIVING OFF BUT WAS DOING A QUICK UTURN TO COME BACK TO THE PUMP (GUESS HIS GAS WAS ON WRONG SIDE AND WANTED TO HOLD PUMP UP UNTIL I DROVE PAST THE P

Men's bathroom was trashed. Had to open 2 stall doors before finding one that was clean enough to even think about sitting down in. Sinks and area around looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in a day or two. Computer for showers out of order. 1 of 2 washers out of order. Store was understaffed and dirty. Line to pay was about 10 people deep with only one cashier at the time. She did fine but was extremely short and you could tell she didn't want to be here. Other than those things it was ok.

This place is soooo much better than the 2 truck stops and Valero a few blocks down on I-10. Fuel is 10 cents cheaper a gallon. Store has lots of Tex Mex souvieners. Restrooms are large (multiple stalls) and clean!! This will be our new favorite stop in Van Horn!
