Pump computer displays messed up, tried two pumps and left got gas elsewhere

Signs advertise gas as $2.35 but underneath says cash. When you pump it came up as $2.42. When inquiring inside no explanation is given. Wondering if $2.35 would apply when paying with cash.

Dime more for credit card.
