Says discount is .18 cents, but shows up as .15 cents when you activate the app. Shows up as .05 cents, did not activate the discount. Why I activated the app and used the card within the required time

Several pumps are out of order and it is impossible to pay with debit at the pump. You have to go inside, but the store is closed at night. It also costs six cents more per gallon to pay with debit/credit than to pay with cash. I had to circle the station several times to find a working pump that would allow me to pay at the pump and was not out of order.
