98th Avenue Gas in Oakland (1141 98th Ave)

I came here to get gas at 6am because Buddy_hd700qr2 reported that their gas was $4.19/gallon at 1am. This was much cheaper by $0.20/gallon than anywhere in the Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond areas and even Costco. It was too good to be true. Their gas was much higher at $4.89/gallon. Luckily I was already at the airport or I would’ve been pissed I came out here for nothing. The good news is they were open early. And they offer a $0.10/gallon discount if you pay cash. For some reason Gas Buddy didn’t give the option of reporting cash and credit prices, so I reported the credit price.

This gas station is continously advertised as having a low price which seems unbelievable. I am not sure if it is the gas station doing this or a person with (Buddy_hd700qr2 who is cohoots with the station to advertis

This place is reporting fake low prices that are way off. This spot has super expensive gas. Gas buddy said $4.19 but when I got there it was $5.59. Smh

BUYER BEWARE!! This station (likely the owners/employees) routinely misreports the fuel price — presumably to attract unwitting customers!! I can almost guarantee the price you see here (likely shown to be the lowest in the area) is grossly inaccurate!! Do not be surprised when you arrive only to find the price much higher than listed here — you have been warned!!
