It needs updating at least at the pumps. not sure what they were thinking, pumps are so close together making one set useless. always a backup waiting to fuel.
The restroom was clean, gas pump was slow. They had a subway & pizza, but had to order if you wanted pizza, no by the slice.
Newly renovated, off I 40 @ exit 24. One of the last truck stops before heading into Tennessee. I 40 currently closed at exit 20 , due to damage from Hurricane Helen . They hope to have access back open before the end of the year. We'll see how all this plays out. ENJOY !

This Shell truck stop is an alternative to the Pilot Truck Just across I 40 , at exit 24. It has a wonderful diner w homemade soups and desserts. Called the 209 Haywood Cafe. The Cafe is a local favorite of many in the area. Easy in and out for both cars and trucks.
