CITGO in Springfield (128 Hillside Ave)

Watch out! The gas attendant will scam you. He will ask for more money than what is on the pump or will short change you. I'm sure he knows what he's doing and it's not an issue of not knowing how to count. Here is what happened to me: I went there and my gas cost $13.50 to fill the tank. I gave the man a $20 bill in cash. He gave me $6 and then he asked for an additional $.50 cents when he owed me that much. Another time I went there I received $15.85 worth of gas. Again I gave him a $20 in cash. He then gave me $4 in return. I sat there waiting for him to return with my change. I called out to him and he complained that he had to assist other customers. He then went to his office and returned with 11 cents in pennies. I left feeling frustrated and didn't care if he still owed 4 cents. I will never return to this dishonest gas station. This was the most awful experience I've ever had at a gas station. I literally use to always come here once a week and it was a nice man who would great me with a Good-morning and proceed to pump the gas. Today was far from a nice experience, I was in my car & stopped for gas on my way to work when one of the workers came over to tell me I looked nice the owner snapped at not only the worker but ME the customer in the car just simply waiting for my gas tank to be filled. The man and his what it looked like employee were cursing at each other then the African man comes over to me points his finger in my car and says what is wrong with you l!? In a very nasty tone as if I had done something. As an African American female, that was one of the most DISGUSTING EXPERIENCES I've ever had at a gas station I've never been treated with such disrespect. Whoever this new owner or new employees are need to get fired because that was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

I'm not sure why EXXON gas stations are generally overpriced but this specific station has reasonable and competitive prices. Also, there's no price penalty (e.g 10c/gal) for using credit to pay.
