the attendant refused to turn the air on for me. said if I wanted air then the machine takes quarters, knowing full well it is illegal to refuse air & water to motorists in California​.

Location closes before midnight, the pumps shut off. One can't use the air or water machine because it is permanently blocked off by zipcars. Finally, this is a very expensive gas station, avoid.
