Painted Desert Gas in Petrified Forest Natl Pk (1 Main St)

If you are driving I40 and suddenly realize you are short 25 miles of gas to make Gallup NM you will be so Happy to find this place. Be thankful they have gas and since I did not use the restroom, my husband said "Not fancy, but it works." So Ladies take that for what you will. Again, get your gas and just move along thanking your lucky stars you found gas in the middle of no where. There is a gift shop Incase you are short of old rocks.

Only has regular unleaded and diesel

Not a Chevron. This is an independent gas station at the Petrified Forest National Park, exit 311 from I40.

Was not expecting a gas station here, but I'm glad it was.

This is a great little stop off, gas was well priced and restrooms were very clean. The best part of this rest up is there is a large dog park for both large and small dogs. We enjoyed fetching the dog in the middle of a long road trip. And then going into the visitor center was pretty cool as well.

Gas station is only open during park hours. At this time that is 7am - 7:30pm. Station has 2 lanes and 4 pumps close together. No overhang, so any size vehicle can fit. Currently 3 of the 4 pumps are working. Convenience store is small but has all the essentials.

Note - restrooms are on the west side of the visitor center. From the parking lot look for the white wall and teal doors.
