Exxon in Fort Davis (1600 N State St)

In an area so remote that it has no Verizon cell phone or wi fi service. This presumably due to the surrounding Davis mountains & thus making timely reporting of prices impossible. The two pump 4 nozzle, open to the elements without shade station is on the side of a either a large local grocery store or a small supermarket serving a town of 1,201 residents per 2010 census. Many tourists also travel to the McDonald Observatory appx 17 miles N on Texas 118 & the Davis Mountains State Park with the entrance appx 2 miles N on 118. Found station to have difficult to read screens (scratched & very hazy) but with a credit or debit card, is accessible 24 hours a day though without a receipt when the store is closed (opens @ 7a M-Sa & 8a on Su. I failed to record posted closing time but I suspect it's no earlier than 6pm) Found the consistent $279.9 regular price to best along I-10 between El Paso & Ft Stockton & south thru Alpine clear thru & into Big Bend NP beating competition by a min

Grocery store – but only gas around

This is the Porters Thriftway store, two gas pumps on the side of the store. No shelter over the pumps, fairly gross outside bathrooms, receipt printers on the pumps are perpetually out of paper so if you need a receipt you'll have to go inside and wait, potentially a long time if they're busy.
