Exxon in Bakersfield (4638 E FM-11)

Prices are almost 60 cents per gallon than should be. But I guess one should be thankful for any gas in the boonies.

If you can make it to Ft Stockton, by all means do! Gas there is $.60 cheaper per gallon!!!! You read that right! What a rip off... and it's only about 24 miles away! Driving a brand new truck and not certain of what "Empty" actually means, I didn't want to take the chance! Now I wish I had. I felt like I needed a shower after peeing (standing up!)

I loved the 2 cats sitting outside and the bright lights made it all feel less creepy when we had to pump gas at 2am lol

Gas is pricey but we needed it. If you are headed West and can make it to Fort Stockton you are better off.

It was as expected for a remote location. Only two pumps will accept credit cards. All the others you have to prepay inside. Presently, only one of the diesel pumps work. Plenty of drinks and snacks inside, but no maps or tourist things inside.
