Shell in Santa Cruz (805 Ocean St)

The bathrooms were supposely broken, the whole lot was filled with homeless and trash and the guy working inside was rude and unfriendly

No restrooms for public use... when I last checked today

Fueled up here on a Saturday morning. Bunch of panhandlers lurking around, not sure if it’s a regular thing but be careful. Restrooms weren’t available.

Open 24/7 . Pretty convenient especially coming off of highway 17

A definitely a plus, they do brew good coffee here from Santa Cruz Roasters. Hands down most expensive gas in Santa Cruz. Also, this is one of maybe two 24/hour business in Santa Cruz, the last convenience store open after 2am, which is when7/11 closes. Convenient location and hours make it difficult to avoid, and late night local homeless folks will be there as well, sometimes causing drama, but in general this place is pretty safe late- night.

Really clean. A little higher prices but shell is higher tier gas than most
