GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- May 6, 2015 -- GasBuddy, the authoritative voice on pump prices, announced today two new hires. Jeff Pelton from Hess Oil Corporation and Will Speer from Phillips 66 have joined the petroleum analyst team, providing additional expertise in specific regions throughout the country.
Jeffrey Pelton, Northeast Analyst
Pelton comes to GasBuddy from Hess where he provided retail fuel pricing analysis at over 1000 Hess gas stations along the Eastern Seaboard for nearly a decade. Pelton's deep pricing knowledge will help advise GasBuddy motorists in ways to further save money at the pump. Additionally, his experience with the retail side of the oil industry will enhance GasBuddy's product development. Pelton is based in New Jersey.
William Speer, Midcontinent/Southwest Analyst
Speer joins GasBuddy from Phillips 66 where he was a pipeline scheduler for the Mid-Continent region. He brings to GasBuddy vast industry experience in product pricing, supply chain and trade floor knowledge. Speer's previous role and strong background in the logistical workings of the oil industry positions him as great addition to the GasBuddy team. Speer is based in the Houston office.
"We are thrilled to have Jeff and Will join the team," said Jason Toews, co-founder of GasBuddy. "Fuel culture varies dramatically depending on where you live.
